In September 2020, Zach Chatham proposed to his girlfriend in Yellowstone National Park. Chatham wasn’t alone during this proposal. The gorgeous scenic backdrop of Yellowstone aside, Chatham was flanked by, frankly, an unusual wing-bun — the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
Chatham is one of several Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers: the drivers behind the wheel of this 27-foot hot dog on wheels. The Wienermobile roams the United States across highways, streets, and backroads simply to make hot dog enthusiasts grin at the sight of the spunky frank.
Now, in the midst of proposal season, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is making its way to couples ready to pop the question. You can now request the Wienermobile to make this dreamy proposal even more memorable — for better or wurst.
Reserving the Wienermobile: What Should I Know?
If you’re a hot dog enthusiast, you may fill out a form to request an appearance from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Requests will be accepted based on the Wienermobile’s availability. (Pro tip — requests submitted 3-12 months in advance have a greater chance of reserving a Wienermobile for engagement proposals.)
Once your request has been submitted, those selected will be notified the week prior to their requested date. This gives couples just enough time to prepare for a bunderful proposal they’ll never forget!
Oh, and for anyone asking how much this may cost we have great news. It’s free to make a request — and free for the Wienermobile to make a cameo appearance during the proposal.
Franks a lot to Oscar Mayer, the Wienermobile, and the fantastic Hot Doggers driving this majestic automobile! Share your engagement stories with Oscar Mayer on Twitter @Wienermobile and ‘ketch up’ with the Wienermobile is hitting the road next on the Oscar Mayer website!
I was hoping and praying the Wienermobile will be available on 10/15/21 for the WEINER Wedding! The groom’s name is Josh Weiner and this would make his wedding day. The reception will be at the Schlafly Tap Room in St. Louis, MO. I am willing to pay a premium if necessary because I know this will just make the day! Please, please consider us.
