Your voice. Your vote. And it’s for your favorite brand mascot and tagline!

#AWNewYork kicks off this week and voting is underway for the brand mascots and taglines to be inducted into our 2020 Madison Avenue Walk of Fame.

2020: Year of Everything Unpredictable

Anything can happen in 2020, a year marked by unprecedented changes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, Advertising Week’s New York flagship event will be entirely hosted online via Zoom. (Which, incidentally, is one of the brand taglines up for a nomination!) We’re reimaging panels and discussions in a virtual event for a global audience.

We welcome all great minds — especially those that think unalike — in a time where we rebuild, reimagine, and reset for creatives and innovators worldwide.

Which Brand Mascot Will Get Your Vote?

Our nominees for brand mascot and slogan have been carefully hand selected to reflect this year of unprecedented change.

Will you vote for the Charmin Bear Family, during the great toilet paper shortage of March 2020?

Did you tap into your inner baker during the pandemic and plan to give Betty Crocker your vote?

Or did you not-so-secretly snack on Twinkies and Drake’s Cakes during lockdown and plan to rock the vote for Twinkie the Kid and Webster?

Enjoyed a cocktail or brew? You might be inclined to vote for Philthy at Yards Brewing Company, Captain Morgan, Johnnie Walker’s The Striding Man, or the iconic, yet misunderstood BACARDÍ Bat.

Which Tagline Do You Want to See Win?

Did the “Peace, Love, and Ice Cream” tagline from Ben & Jerry’s, plus their incredible campaigns to increase awareness about social injustice worldwide, win you over?

Will you vote for apps like Slack (“Where Work Happens”) or Zoom (“We Deliver Happiness”) that gave us the opportunity to WFH?

Baking during quarantine? Your vote might go to King Arthur Baking Company — Shaped By Hand, Powered By Heart.

Or Peloton for getting in extra exercise and movement, since “Peloton is for Everyone.”

Social media influencers might make a beeline for Triller. “You Do You,” creatives.

Ready… Set… Vote!

You have TWO DAYS to vote for these iconic characters and slogans, with even more included on our voting page. Vote now until September 30 at 11:59 PM EST.

We’ll announce the winners shortly afterward. Good luck and rock the vote!
